Farmingdale Aquatics (FA-MR), located in Farmingdale, NY is seeking qualified candidates for their coaching positions.

Duties of the position include working effectively with the Board of Directors. Four years experience as a high school competitive swimmer is required, extensive experience as a collegiate swimmer is preferred. Also desired is a minimum of two years as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach experience at the club and/or high school level.

Duties will include supervising and writing daily workouts, preparing dry-land strength and conditioning workouts, developing stroke technique among all age-groups, opening communication between parents and coaches, attending swim meets, and other administrative duties. Knowledge of Hy-Tek, Meet Manager, and TeamUnify is preferred but not necessary.

FA is currently a parent run organization that has been affiliated with the Farmingdale Youth Council and Farmingdale School District for the past 41 years and is a member of LSC Metropolitan Swimming (MR). A dedicated parent Board of Directors has helped FA grow to a current membership of 150 swimmers and growing. These swimmers range in ability level from pre-competitive to the Senior Metropolitan level. FA also works closely with local high school teams to allow their high school age swimmers to develop in both high school and club competitions.

Gateway Swimmers (GATE-MR) out of Flushing Meadows Corona Park Pool, NY is looking for a coach for our Freshmen developmental team to begin in July. We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic person who enjoys developing good habits and correct technique, and appreciates the need for continuing education! Moderate experience with teaching swimming and having swam, and a desire to learn from the head coach is vital. We are looking for someone with experience but will consider training a new coach. Applicants must have up to date Lifeguard Certifications and must pass the Safety Training for Swim Coaches after hire. Having a WSI is a plus, but not required. This division of the team practices mainly on weekends. During swim meets, the coach will need to cover the Senior Practices as well. The pay rate is commensurate with experience. Monroe Woodbury Marlins (MWSC-MR) in NY is looking for a coach to help with our younger age groups. We are seeking a knowledgeable, fun, energetic person who loves working with children! Washingtonville Seahawks Swim Club, (WSSC-MR) is currently seeking assistant coach for our Empire State Swim League (ESSL) and USA Swimming (Metro Region LSC) participating Age Group club. We are located in the beautiful, scenic Hudson Valley approximately 1 hour north of NYC.

Practices and home meets take place at the Washingtonville High School Pool. Our home facility is a 6 lane, 25 yard immaculately maintained pool with a six line scoreboard and Colorado Timing System, large, well lit deck, and ample comfortable spectator seating with plenty of parking.

The WSSC is a not for profit 501 (c) 3 volunteer parent run organization, headed by an elected Board of Directors from within its membership. Our team has approximately 140 swimmers from novice level to those attaining Zone Team Qualifying status.

92nd Street Y Flying Dolphins Swim Team (YFD-MR) is seeking assistant age group coach. Our program has experienced significant growth and we are looking for a motivated dynamic coach to assist in developing our young athletes into top competitors and/or lifelong swimmers. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well with athletes, parents, and the other coaches. Team practices are held Monday through Saturday late afternoons. Swim meets are approximately once a month. Coaches Wanted for West Point Swim Camp
Camp Director Mickey Wender is the Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s swimming & diving teams at the United States Military Academy. Camp Facilities: Pool sessions will be conducted in Crandall Pool located in Arvin Gymnasium. Campers and Coaches will be housed in the dormitory rooms. Meals will be served cafeteria style in Officer’s Club.

Coaches who may be interested in working our camps this summer:
- Cam dates are in July: 7-11, 14-18, 21-25. Coaches may opt to work one, two, or all three sessions.

Somerset Valley YMCA (SVY-NJ) is seeking Age Group Coaches. Somerset Valley YMCA, reigning YMCA NJ State Champions (2006, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013), is looking to expand its coaching staff for the upcoming long course season. SVY is currently the #25 ranked team in the nation according to the USA Swimming Virtual Club Championships. The program was granted Bronze Medal Status by USA Swimming in 2010 and 2013. Its 400+ athletes practice across four locations in Somerset County: Bridgewater, Hillsborough, Somerville, and Branchburg.

We are looking for outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals who are good communicators, strong leaders, and are interested in exploring a career in coaching. No prior coaching experience is required, although experience working with children in some capacity is strongly preferred. You will be working directly with the Head Age Group Coach to develop swimmers in the most advanced 9-10 and 11-12 practice groups in the program. The 12/Under program has finished 1st overall at NJYMCA State Championships from 2010-13, and has multiple relays and individuals on USA Swimming’s 2013 National Top 20 list.

Salary will be commensurate with experience. This is a PART-TIME position with potential for advancement. Condors Swim CLub (COND-MR) is seeking for two part-time Assistant Coaches, one for the Felix Festa pool in West Nyack, New York and one for the Westchester Community College Pool in Valhalla, NY. Qualified applicants will work directly with Head Coach to maintain a competitive and supportive environment for young athletes. Applicant must have competitive coaching experience and be willing to work weeknights and meets on occasional weekends. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of stroke technique and mechanics, appropriate developmental processes, and endurance training. The job will entail leading and assisting groups, collaborating with head coach, writing workouts, attending USA swimming meets, and communicating effectively with parents. The Condors Swim Club also has a continuing Coaches Education program that includes such things as stipends to attend coaching clinics. Candidates should be up to date with USA Swimming certifications but these can be obtained upon hire.
