The Mako Swim Team at the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut has an immediate opening for the position of Head Age Group Coach.
The Head Age Group Coach will directly coach and oversee the Age Group Programs for the Mako Swim Team. The Head Age Group Coach will supervise the Developmental Program. The Head Age Group Coach will coach within the Senior Program. The Head Age Group Coach position will carry on deck coaching responsibilities from 3:00-8:00pm Monday-Friday, with weekend coaching responsibilities during swim meets. Administrative tasks related to the Age Group Program and YMCA swim meets are also responsibilities of this position. The Head Age Group Coach reports to the Assistant Director of Competitive Aquatics.
Qualified candidates will preferably have experience as a Head Coach or Head Age Group Coach for a USA or YMCA Swimming Team. ASCA Level 2 preferred, required within 60 days of employment. Qualified candidates must demonstrate a distinct understanding of the training and instructional needs of the Age Group swimmer, with a commitment to the development of highly performing senior level athletes. The philosophy of the qualified candidate must represent a commitment to sound fundamentals that will provide an athlete the ability to thrive in senior level competition. Eligible candidates must have Life Guard and CPR certification or be able to obtain immediately upon employment, must pass YMCA and USA Swimming background screening, and must complete USA Swimming Athlete Protection Training. Current USA Swimming Coach Certification preferred.
The Head Age Group Coach position is a full-time exempt position with full benefits including health care, dental, and YMCA retirement fund contributions at 5% of position salary. Salary range: $28,000-$32,000

The Condors Swim Club (COND) is seeking an Assistant Coach with our year-round swim club at our Westchester Community College site. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of stroke technique, swimmer development, and a strong work ethic. The candidate will work with the head coach to develop a season plan for two groups of 10-15 swimmers potentially ranging from 7-13 years of age. Candidates should have experience with competitive swimming, First Aid/CPR certification, USA swimming registered preferred, and will pass USA Swimming's Background checks. Coaching duties include daily practices as a lead or assistant coach, attend periodic weekend meets, attend staff meetings, and correspond daily to email. The candidate should have strong communication skills with both adults and children. Coaching hours will primarily be 5:30pm-8:30pm Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays. The pay is very competitive and will be commensurate with qualification. The position is open immediately. Condors train year round at Westchester Community College, Mark Twain Pool in Yonkers both in Westchester County, and also at Felix Festa in Rockland County. They compete in regular USA swimming meets held all over the state and country. Athletes range in age from 5 to 19 and including returning college students. Skill levels range from three Olympic Trial Qualifiers for 2012 down to Stroke Development level swimmers. 92nd Street Y May Center (YFD) is seeking an Assistant Age-Group Coach to work with our age-group program, specifically swimmers 12 and under. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who works well with others, embodies the ideals of 92Y and is dedicated to the long-term success of each of our athletes. This is a part-time position with the following schedule:
Monday: 4:00 -- 6:00pm
Tuesday: 4:00 -- 6:30pm
Wednesday: 4:30 -- 6:00pm
Thursday: 5:00 -- 6:30pm
Saturday: 1:00 -- 3:00pm
Weekend swim meets -- Saturdays and Sundays 1-2 per month.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting workouts appropriate to all levels of swimming ability
- Work in conjunction with the 92Y May Center staff and other coaches on issues that concern the club as a whole
- Attend weekend swim meets when necessary

JCC Bridgewater Tide Swim team is seeking a Certified USA Swim Coach with a minimum of 5 years Club experience. Immediate opening with one of New Jersey’s fastest growing swim clubs. Northern Dutchess Aquatic Club (NDAC) is currently seeking an Age Group Coach to predominantly work with their 8&Under swimmers. The candidate should be interested in coaching at least 3-4 times per week and attending approximately 2 swim meets per month during the winter season. Responsibilities include: on-deck coaching, attending swim meets and writing workouts. Previous experience working with age group swimmers is desired, USA Swimming coaching certifications should all be up-to-date. NDAC practices at Bard College in Red Hook, NY (north of Poughkeepsie). The Patriots Swim Team is looking for a Head Age Group Coach / Assistance Senior Coach (Beacon NY location). Applicants must have at least 5 years previous experience as Head Age group Coach for a USA swim program. Experience working with sectional level senior swimmers a plus. Applicant must also have solid administrative skills. Familiarity with the Team Unify team management system a plus. Applicant should be current on all certifications and background checks.
PATS is also looking Assistant Age Group Coach (Peekskill NY location. Applicant must have at least 3 years experience working with and developing USA Swimmers at the Junior Olympics or similar level. Applicant should be current on all certifications and background checks.
