Metro's Lia Neal Wins Bronze Medal As Member of Team USA 4x100 Free Relay
AGUA swimmer, Lia Neal (17) won a Bronze medal at the London Summer Olympics as a prelims and finals member for the US Women's 4x100 Free Relay.
First was Australia and second was the Netherlands.
As the lead-off swimmer in her prelim swim, Lia swam a personal best of 54.15.
Her morning swim was fast enough to be selected to swim in finals.
Her team mates for prelims were: Amanda Weir (54.37), Natalie Coughlin (53.93), and Allison Schmitt (54.08).
The US team members swimming in finals were: Missy Franklin (17) (53.52), Jessica Hardy (53.53), Lia Neal (53.65), and Allison Schmitt (53.54). Great job Lia and congratulations!

2012 Metropolitan Swimming Diversity Clinic With Anthony Ervin, 2000 Olympic Gold Medalist
100 aspiring swimmers attended the 3rd annual Metro Diversity Clinic this past Sunday at the Ossining Aquatics Center in Ossining, Westchester County.
2000 Olympic gold medalist in 50 free, Anthony Ervin, was one of the clinicians. He told the swimmers about becoming an Olympic Champion:
"It wasn't a quick process. I didn't go from you," he said, pointing to the swimmers, "to an Olympic medalist."

Metro All Star Training Trip April 11 to 15 to Deerfield Beach, Florida
The first-annual Metropolitan Swimming sponsored 12-&-Over Metro All-Star training trip to Deerfield Beach Florida in underway.
Team selection was based on the highest power points for the 2011 year.
